BARITE - Product QAQC SOP FOLLOWED AT LM PRODUCTION, LAB & PORT(S)
At Production Point
Pulverising Mills at Koduru
- Procuring/stacking quality Barite Lumps from APMDC
- Feeding required quality Barite Lumps:
- Feed 4.13 SG Lumps For 4.10 SG order requirement and 4.23 SG
- Lumps for 4.20 SG order requirement, into pulverising mills
- Taking running sample of each and every bag produced
- Testing of day-wise composite sample for density and 75 micron size at mill Lab.
- Lot wise sample preparation for every 360 bags or lots as required time to time.
- Sampling of 100% bags during packing
- Sample preparation – day wise samples at our lab
- Pass the material for shipment
AT LAB
- Testing of all sub lot wise samples (360 bags) at our lab for: Density, 75 Micron, Water Soluble Alkaline Earth Metals as Calcium
- Testing of the lot wise sample for heavy metals at external lab: As, Hg, Cd, Pb
BAGS
- Checking the Bags’ – marking, condition, and packing
- Weighment/standardisation supervision of 100% bags during bagging
- Rejection of bags in case not meeting the quality spec and bag’s defects/damage
- Sampling of 100% bags during packing
Scope of work at Port
In case of Container Shipments
- Empty container checking for general condition and cleanliness at the stuffing point
- Tally of bags and loading supervision
- Check condition of bags received – reject damaged bags if any and supervise re-bagging and stuffing
- Taking photography at each and every stage of loading
- Shipment close-out/report to Head Office
In case of Break-Bulk Shipments
- Check vessel holds condition
- Arrival bag’s condition/ loading supervision
- Sampling bags during vessel loading
- Composite sample preparation
- Testing of the composite sample for the parameters required at
our Lab - Shipment close-out/report to Head Office
